Felicitation program organized by Gujarat Contractors Association

H S April 6, 2022

Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel addressing a felicitation
program organised by Gujarat Contractors Association said that, he construction of road houses across the
state is a factor that keeps the development process afloat. While the construction work is being carried
out at a fast pace, the state government has also given priority to quality works.
At a time when Gujarat is moving forward on the path of continuous development, it is equally important
that development works are completed on time and quality is maintained.
The CM further said that it is the responsibility of the state government to solve problems faced by any
citizen of the state. Effective work is being done to solve the problems faced by the people involved in
many such small and big businesses. The then Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has given us the
mantra “Sauno Saath – Sauno Vikas” and by embodying it we have now been able to achieve “Sauno
Prayas – Sauno Vishwas”.
Our Prime Minister has given us the resolution of “Atmanirbhar Gujarat”. Which we will all realise
together. Advocating that the people involved in the construction work should focus on quality work and
not on the cost of work, the Chief Minister added that, Contractors have made a huge contribution in the
development work of Gujarat. Gujarat is the growth engine of the nation and it is our responsibility to
sustain it.
The CM also recalled his tenure as a civil engineer during addressing the felicitation program.
Minister for Roads and Building Shri Purneshbhai Modi said that, the state government is always ready
for the upliftment of the last men of the state. The central and state government is making sense of this
slogan of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay ‘Har haath ko kaam- kaam ka sahi daam’. Rising prices of steel,
cement, asphalt, sand and other commodities due to corona caused many discrepancies in the construction
work and hence the state government amended many contracts. Which will be a boon for many involved
in the construction business, he added.
State President Shri CR Patil said that “Contractions has a huge contribution in the development of the
city, state and country. At the same time, the construction business is leading in providing employment to
many people.

President of Gujarat Contractors Association Shri Arvindbhai Patel said that Construction works are a
legacy of the country’s development. The state government has taken a positive stand even during the
Covid-19 Pandemic. We also thank the Chief Minister and various Ministers of the State Government and
Secretaries of different departments through the Gujarat Contractors Association for that. This will
accelerate the development of the state as well as the development of the nation.
Secretary of Roads and Buildings Shri SB Vasava, President of Gujarat Contractors Association Shri
Arvindbhai Patel, Vice Chairman Shri Kishorbhai Viramgama, various committee members, various
contractors from districts were present.
