Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has taken one more commendable
decision in the direction of planned urban development.
The Chief Minister has approved a total of 6 town planning schemes in Ahmedabad and Vadodara for
the purpose of accelerating urban development.
With the approval of this scheme, more facilities will be provided to the citizens due to speedy
implementation of infrastructural facilities and road works in the respective areas.
Shri Bhupendra Patel has approved 1 Preliminary Town Planning Scheme, 1 Final Scheme and 4 Draft
Schemes. TP of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in Preliminary Scheme. Scheme No. 26 (Makarba)
and TP of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in the final scheme. Scheme no. 37(Danilimda North).
The Chief Minister has approved four draft town planning schemes in Vadodara.
Accordingly, in the draft TP, Draft of Vadodara Urban Development Authority (1) TP in the scheme.
Scheme no. 27 / B (Bill) (2) TP Scheme no. 27 / C (Chavad) (3) T.P. Scheme no. 24 / B (Bhayali-Gokulpura-
Raipura) and (4) TP. Scheme no. 42 (Koyli) have been included.
As a result of the approval given by the Chief Minister to this town planning scheme, 01 Preliminary TP
of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Scheme and 4 draft TPs of Vadodara Urban Development
Authority Scheme so total five TP scheme together with 51.84 hectares of land will be acquired for

housing of socially and economically weaker sections, a total of 61.52 hectares of land for gardens,
playgrounds and open spaces and 52.89 hectares for public facilities. A total of approximately 111.99
hectares of land will be acquired for sale to meet the cost of infrastructural facilities.
In these five schemes together, a total of approximately 46,400 EWS accommodation can be made.
