Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has said that Prime Minister Shri
Narendrabhai Modi has given direction to the politics of development and under his guidance Gujarat is
developing steadily. He addressed the citizens on the occasion of inauguration and completion of Rs.
239 crore urban development projects.
On this occasion, he said that Gujarat is the growth engine of the country through development. Gujarat
is number one in many areas. All the basic facilities are available to the citizens of Gujarat. Ahmedabad
has become a livable and lovable city. The eastern and western areas of Ahmedabad city are developing
at the same pace.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has given continuous
encouragement to all to move forward with Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas ane Sauno
prayas. Efforts are being made for the citizens of any and every caste and religion to move forward on
the path of development.
The Chief Minister further said that eight years of good governance of the Central Government have
come to an end under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi. Gujarat has been
getting the benefit of Prime Minister Shri’s leadership for 20 years.
The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has fulfilled his promise to
provide free vaccines to the citizens of the country as a pioneering initiative in ridding India of the
scourge of Covid.
The Chief Minister said that the dream of a house in the city has come true under the Pradhan Mantri
Awas Yojana for those who do not have a house or people living in small or slum areas are well aware of
the value of a house. All the basic facilities like light, water, gas are provided in these houses by the
corporation.
Expressing confidence that the Government of Gujarat under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modiji has always been committed to provide basic facilities in the fields of education, health
and security to the citizens of the state, the Chief Minister added that today the school drop-out ratio in
education sector in Gujarat has come down from 38% to 3%. State students no longer need to go abroad
for medical and engineering studies.
The government stood by the people even during the epidemic by providing free vaccinations to the
citizens during the Corona period. In addition, provision has been made in the budget to provide tests
and results of home-based ailments for the elders above 60 years of age.
In addition, the government is providing health facilities to the citizens like telemedicine, free medicines
for diseases like diabetes, free surgery for major diseases for children up to 12 years, etc.
The government has been constantly striving for industrial development and job creation. Today the
government is constantly working for the safety and security of the citizens by strengthening law and
order.
On this occasion the Mayor of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Shri Kirit Kumar Parmar in his speech
said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi the whole country is reaping
the benefits of development. Even in such a difficult time like Corona, the pace of development has not
stopped by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and various projects worth Rs.239 crores have been
inaugurated or laid stone of. The Municipal Corporation is constantly working for the overall
development of Ahmedabad, stressed the Mayor.
The Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Pradipbhai Parmar in his address said, Good
governance has proved to be a synonym of export for millions of citizens of Gujarat at a time when the
country and the state are steadily advancing on the ladder of development. Continuous efforts are being
made to achieve Atmanirbhar Bharat through Atmanirbhar Gujarat.
On this occasion Municipal Commissioner Shri Lochan Shehra, Minister for Social Justice and
Empowerment Shri Pradipbhai Parmar, Mayor Shri Kiritbhai Parmar, Ahmedabad (East) MP Shri
Hasmukhbhai Patel, MLA Shri Balram Thawani, Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja, Shri Sureshbhai, Shri Shambhuji,
Municipal Corporation Deputy mayor Mrs. Gitaben Patel, Dandak Shri, Standing Committee Chairman,
Councillor, various Industry association office bearers, saints and a large number of townspeople were
present.
