Gandhinagar, 28 November 2025: The second day of the State Government’s 12th Chintan Shibir at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram in Dharampur, Valsad, saw Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and his cabinet engage in intense group discussions focused on advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 through a Viksit Gujarat.
The discussions, aimed at collective development through collective deliberation, were structured across five critical areas: Capacity Building, Public Health & Nutrition, Green Energy & Environment, Public Safety, and Service Sector Growth.
The session on Capacity Building focused on creating a future-ready workforce by 2035 through performance assessment, cadre restructuring, and continuous training, leveraging advanced technology. The Public Health session reviewed alarming indicators like maternal/infant mortality and child malnutrition (stunting, wasting) and discussed technology-driven improvements in scheme delivery. Key Ministers and officials participated in both.
Discussions on Green Energy emphasised achieving Net Zero by 2070 and 500 GW of non-fossil energy by 2030, in line with Mission LiFE, focusing on self-reliance and the circular economy. The Public Safety panel addressed integrating technology for efficient, reliable civil security across infrastructure (roads, bridges, water supply) and emergency services. Finally, the Service Sector discussion explored strategies to position Gujarat as a leader in ITES, financial services, and the emerging gig, care, and green economies. The day’s deliberations will significantly accelerate efforts toward the ambitious ‘Viksit Gujarat’ goal.
