Gandhinagar, Saturday: The state government has completed 200 days of its good governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. This journey of public service of the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, a sincere and decisive leader, was marked with impactful decisions, various achievements and new initiatives.
By traveling 61,000 kilometers during these 200 days, the Chief Minister has created a distinct image of a public servant who is constantly on duty for the people, and with the people. Shri Bhupendra Patel has created his place in the heart of the people of Gujarat as a gentle but determined and decisive Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister has approved 11 new private universities in the state with an aim to provide world class education facility to the youth of Gujarat in their vicinity. Student Start-up and Innovation Policy (SSIP) 2.0 and Roadmap for the New Education Policy have been launched. The state government provides financial assistance under this policy to encourage start-ups and innovation. Mission School Excellence Scheme has been implemented for improvement in quality of infrastructure and education in the schools of the State. The roadmap for the next four years has been prepared under his guidance to develop world class universities in the state.


Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the state government has also taken adequate care of the health of the people. The vaccination drive in the state was accelerated and Gujarat achieved a remarkable feat of providing more than 10 crore doses of Corona vaccine to the citizens. So far, 30 lakh adolescents and 9 lakh children of the state are covered under Covid-19 vaccination. Gujarat is the first state in the country to launch Air Ambulance.
The Chief Minister is committed to a healthy and secure Gujarat, for which the state has started screening for non-communicable diseases and illnesses every Friday of the week. Under this, 3 crore 30 lakh citizens of the state will be covered.
Under the visionary leadership and direction of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Shri Bhupendra Patel has accelerated the country’s Growth Engine. Under his leadership, the state government has successfully launched four new policies, which include Student Start-up and Innovation Policy 2.0, IT Policy 2022, Biotechnology Policy and Sports Policy. All these policies are a successful attempt to enhance the skills of the youth of the state and prepare them for the global platform.


Kaushalya- the Skill University has been established to develop skills of 5 lakh students. A golden opportunity has been provided to the youth of the state to join police service. A Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Board has been constituted for the recruitment on 1382 posts of Police Sub-Inspectors. The Lokarakshak Recruitment Board was constituted for the purpose of transparently recruiting youth for 10,459 positions in various Lokarakshak cadres.
In these 200 days of resolute commitment towards the people, Hon’ble Chief Minister carried out multiple innovative initiatives and took decisions for the welfare of farmers, deprived, poor and tribals. Shri Bhupendra Patel also launched Natural Farming campaign to expand it and make agricultural activities free from chemical fertilizers. Tribal-dominated Dang has already been declared as 100% natural farming district.
Besides, the use of drone technology among Gujarat’s farmers has steadily increased. The government has also adopted a new approach to increase the production and reduce input costs using this technology. Acknowledging the role of Nari Shakti (women empowerment) in the state’s development, the Chief Minister has significantly increased budget related to women by 42% this year. The Chief Minister has prioritised women empowerment by expanding the scope of Poshan Sudha Yojana and implementing ‘Suposhit Mata-Swasth Bal’ scheme.
In order to provide nutritious food to pregnant and lactating mother and child, 1 kg of tur dal, 2 kg of chickpeas and 1 liter of edible oil will be provided free of cost for one thousand days. For this, a sum of Rs.850 crore has been allocated in the budget. The decision to increase the mobile network facilities in tribal areas by erecting 500 new mobile towers is also one of the special achievements of the Chief Minister in these 200 days.


Around 1.18 lakh students from Scheduled Castes have been provided with Post Matric Scholarship at the cost of ₹196.23 crore. For providing quality education to the tribal students, around 25 Birsa Munda Gyanshakti Residential Schools of Excellence will be established for which ₹45 crore have been allocated in the budget.
Water management work has received a new impetus under the leadership of Shri Bhupendra Patel. So far, 93% of work under ‘Nal se Jal’ scheme has been completed in the state. It is estimated that the state will be 100% connected by tap water by the end of this year. Moreover, the fifth phase of Sujalam-Suflam water campaign has also begun to increase the water storage capacity of Gujarat.

In the Budget 2022-23, a plan worth ₹4,370 crore has been approved to provide additional 1 million acre feet Narmada water to Kachchh for irrigation purpose.
Keeping in view the wider interest of six and a half crore people of Gujarat, the Chief Minister has also taken several important decisions:
Under Shri Bhupendra Patel’s leadership, Gujarat has presented the largest ever budget of ₹2,44,000 crore in its history, up by ₹17,000 crore from the last year.
A provision of ₹500 crores has been announced towards Gaushala, Panjrapol and Trust managed institutions for preservation of cow and infrastructural facilities in Mukhyamantri Gaumata Poshan Yojana.
An e-government portal has been launched for smooth functioning among all the government departments, and quickly resolves the queries of the people that get stuck between those departments.
An earnest decision to issue property cards to citizens through auto-generation has been taken.
To bring uniformity in the system, the state government under ‘Digital Gujarat’ programme has increased the validity of income certificates issued by e-gram Vishwagram Kendra to three years from one year.
Self-declaration process has been declared legal to liberate the people from the affidavit process for government services verification.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat has registered a number of achievements in various fields across the country.
Gujarat ranked first in the ‘Logistics Ease Across Different States’ (LEADS)-2021 report published by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Gujarat, for the second consecutive year, has topped the NITI Aayog’s Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2021.
Gujarat topped the overall EPI 2020 aimed at assessing the readiness of the states in terms of their export potential and performance.
In the Policy Commission’s financial management criteria, Gujarat ranked first in the country.
Gujarat stood first in the Good Governance Index published by the Government of India’s nodal agency DARPG.
Gujarat has been the frontrunner on the development path under the humble, determined and dedicated leadership of Shri Bhupendra Patel.
Shri Bhupendra Patel has frequently visited the rural areas and interacted with the villagers, children and farmers, regularly in his relentless service of 200 days. By establishing himself as the public leader, he has become ‘Sauna Bhupendrabhai’ (Everyone’s Bhupendrabhai)
