Gandhinagar, Monday: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today visited the world class Real Time
Online Monitoring-“Vidya Samiksha Kendra” in the field of education at Gandhinagar in the presence of
Gujarat Chief Minster Shri Bhupendra Patel and Education Minister Shri Jitubhai Vaghani. Where he was
welcomed and greeted by the students with the melodious music of the band.s
PM virtually interacted with teachers, parents, students, BRC, CRC, Taluka Primary Education Officer,
District Primary Education Officer from all over the state from the state-of-the-art monitoring room at
Vidya Samiksha Kendra in Gandhinagar.
Secretary of State for Education Shri Vinod Rao, Commissioner of PM Poshan Yojana Shri S.A. Patel,
Director of Primary Education, Dr. M.I. Joshi, Former Director of GCERT, Shri T.S. Joshi, State Project
Director of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Dr. Ratankanvar Gadhvicharan, Chairman of Gujarat Secondary
Education Board Shri A. J. Shah, Director of GIET, Shri. P. a. Jalu, Madhyahan bhojan Commissioner Shri
Satish Patel including high officials gave a detailed account of the work undertaken by the Education
Department through the presentation. Prime Minister also inspected the answer key copy of the unit
test and gave necessary instructions.
After his grand welcome by girls PM showered flowers on the girls as per Indian tradition and laid
wreath to the statue of Veda Vyasji.
Prime Minister also visited Exhibition Room-1. Where he was informed about six different programs
initiated by the Education Department of Gujarat Government based on National Education Policy. In
which detailed information about Shala Praveshotsav 2.0, Foundation Literacy and Numercy, Centralized
Assessment, Gunotsav 2.0, Technology Enabled Learning Initiative and School Administrative System
was given by Dr. Vinod Rao. He also inspected student’s unit test book.
Online education has increased during the spread of Corona, PM got details about the availability of
mobile as well as internet connectivity with the students in such times.

Prime Minister visited Exhibition Room-2 and got information about the milestone programs to be
launched by the state education department for the quality of education to the students in the coming
academic year.
Prime Minister was informed that these schools have been transformed into 20,000 government and
aided primary, secondary and higher secondary schools in the state through the Rs 10,000 crore Smart
Project Mission School of Excellence program to be launched in collaboration with the World Bank and
A.I.I.B (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) where facilities including Smart Class, Stem Lab, Computer
Lab, Playground will be provided. So that students can get world class education. In addition, under the
Residential School of Excellence program for excellent residential education, education of Std. 6 to 12
will be provided free of cost to about 1.5 lakh students. The specialty of this program is that the whole
program will be done through public participation, in which the project partner will have to invest for all
kinds of facilities. The project partner will be given 60000 per student annually by the state government.
Students are eager to learn about national security and internal security. And with the aim of cultivating
the attitude of being a part of forces like B.S.F. and police, we started Rakshashakti schools equivalent to
military schools. Uptown education for Std 6th to 12th will be provided free of cost.


In order to make the students aware of the ancient culture of the country and to make them proficient
in Sanskrit language, two important programs like Sanskrit Sadhana and Sanskrit Shakti were imparted
to the Prime Minister by the officials of the Education Department. The Prime Minister then visited the
key video wall room of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra. After inspecting how all the schools included in the
Mission School of Excellence program are monitored by Video Wall-1, the Prime Minister visited Video
Wall-2 to see how effective monitoring of teachers, supervision staff as well as students and meaningful
analysis through school related data and Artificial Intelligence Big Data through Analytics and gained in-
depth information on how all policy decisions of school education are made.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister had a two-way conversation with the students, teachers and
villagers of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Ambaji-Jetwas in Banaskantha district. As well as guided
them through interesting questions regarding the education, management and facilities of the school as
well as their future development organs. Apart from this, the Prime Minister interacted with Smt Rathod
Kalpanaben, a member of SMC of Vanki Primary Shala in Kutch district and received information about
the improvement in the education of children through the efforts being made by the education
department of the government. Moreover, the Prime Minister interacted with Pujaba a Std-9th student
and asked whether the teachers coming from other areas and who are not local whether they can teach
in the local language or not and also interacted with the Head Educator Shri Narayan Goyal.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister inquired whether activities like physical education, yoga are done
to keep the students physically healthy. The Prime Minister also interacted with Smt Darshanabahen of
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Untwada village, Kukarmunda of Tapi district and inquired about the
number of students using the DIKSHA portal.
On this occasion Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, MP Shri C.R. Patil, Education Minister Shri
Jitubhai Vaghani, Minister of State for Education Shri Kirtisinh Vaghela, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj
Kumar, Secretary Dr. Vinod Rao were present.
